about me

My name is Christopher Rattray. I’m an Applications Chemist at Restek, and currently live in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. My wife Lindsey and I moved here from Southern California at the end of August 2011 with our two dogs. This was a pretty big change for us; we had lived in Southern California our entire lives. Let’s just say I now understand the irony of the show title It’s Always Sunny in Philidelphia.

Before working at Restek, I was Lab Director at Microbac‘s Southern California Division until it was sold at the end of April, 2011. I continued as Lab Director under the new ownership and name, A & R Laboratories, until I accepted the position at Restek.

I know it’s too soon to know for sure, but I’ve really enjoyed the transition. Newly married in a new town at a new job, I made pretty much every major life change at the same time. Even though the movers broke a bunch of my stuff, including my iMac, things are off to a great start. I’m really enjoying my new job; you can track my progress here on the company blog, ChromaBLOGraphy. By a stroke a luck, I was able to attend Joe Paterno’s last game as head coach.
